To Be Brief

In case you were wondering, we’re still having a great time.

Last night, we made fire, which meant dinner was hot and a little more elaborate than PB & J. I have to give the credit to our friend Tom who lives with his wife in a totally fantastic mobile home parked (for the summer) outside the French Creek Bed and Breakfast. He showed me exactly how to light the stove-like contraption, and more importantly, told me I needed to protect the flame from the sly wind.

Before dinner, we drove across Wyoming. It reminded me of Tunisia. Towns rose up from the otherwise barren and unhabitated (but naturally beautiful) landscape like prairie dogs coming out of their holes. The populations of the towns were invariably smaller than the town’s elevation in feet (or so said the signs). The towns were not unlike ancient Roman towns around Carthage. Strange…the connections through time…

We also drove through a herd of cows
